PG Soft added two new slots in October 2026. Trade press covered Grimms’ Bounty: Princess & the Frog on 8–9 October and Thunder Reckoning on 20 October. Grimms’ Bounty is a 3-reel, 35-way game with a 10,000x max win. Thunder Reckoning is a 5×6 cascading grid capped at 5,000x. Neither announcement, as published, gives an RTP or a volatility rating. Below you’ll find the specs side by side and where each one comes from. We also explain what those two max wins mean when you actually spin.

Quick take: Two confirmed PG Soft releases this month: Princess & the Frog (10,000x) and Thunder Reckoning (5,000x). Both have free spins and a feature buy. The RTP and volatility aren’t in the published announcements. Treat the max win as a ceiling, not a target. On the announced numbers, both top prizes need several rare events to land together.

What PG Soft announced in October 2026

The two games come from opposite ends of PG Soft’s catalogue. One is a gentle fairy tale on a small 3-reel layout. The other is a Norse storm on a big cascading grid. Both arrived as press announcements that trade outlets carried word for word or close to it. For background on the studio, see our PG Soft provider profile.

Grimms’ Bounty: Princess & the Frog (covered 8–9 Oct 2026)

Hipther reported on 8 October that PG Soft had released a new 3-reel, 35-way title in its Grimms’ Bounty series. iGamist’s 9 October report adds the details:

  • Wins pay left to right, horizontally or diagonally.
  • Prize symbols are worth 0.5x to 500x the bet.
  • Collector symbols carry x1, x2, x5 or x10 multipliers.
  • Three Scatters trigger 8 free spins, and each extra Scatter adds 2. In free spins, collector multipliers build up and apply to later prizes.

A PG Soft spokesperson told iGamist the team “wanted that romance to come through in how it plays”. The series is not new. Gaming And Media covered Grimms’ Bounty: Hansel & Gretel on 28 August 2025, also with a 10,000x max win.

Thunder Reckoning (covered 20 Oct 2026)

EEGaming reported on 20 October that PG Soft “has released” Thunder Reckoning. It is a Norse-mythology slot on a 5×6 grid with cascading wins. You need eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid to win.

The twist is grid activation. Each win charges a position, first partly and then fully. Fully charged neighbours merge into blocks, and when the cascades stop, those blocks turn into Prize symbols. In PG Soft’s words, quoted by EEGaming, “Each win lights up a bit more of the grid”. Three Scatters give 10 free spins, plus 2 for each extra Scatter, and the free spins can retrigger. In free spins the grid starts partly charged and keeps its progress. Hipther and BNLData carried the same specs on the same day.

Takeaway: two releases were covered 12 days apart. The coverage dates are confirmed. The exact go-live dates at casinos were not published in the reports we read.

Thunder Reckoning vs Grimms’ Bounty: specs side by side

Every figure below is from PG Soft’s announcements as published by the outlets linked above. A “not published” means the published announcement doesn’t include it.

Takeaway: the small 3-reel game has double the cap of the big grid. Layout size tells you nothing about the top prize.

How we sourced this (and what we left out)

We tried to check every spec on PG Soft’s own website on 31 Oct 2026. It wasn’t reachable from our location. The news pages returned errors or loaded empty, and there were no readable game pages. So the specs above come from PG Soft’s announcements as published by EEGaming, Hipther, BNLData and iGamist, with each source linked.

  • RTP and volatility: none of those reports includes them, so we haven’t filled them in. One review site does show figures, but it also lists release dates in 2022 for games announced in 2026, so we didn’t use it.
  • Azteca Legacy: we saw this title linked to PG Soft, but we couldn’t confirm it as a PG Soft release from any announcement or trade report. It is not covered here.

If PG Soft publishes the RTP and volatility, check the in-game info screen before you play. Casinos can run different RTP settings of the same slot.

Takeaway: a spec with no source is a guess. We’d rather print “not published” than repeat a number we can’t trace.

What 5,000x vs 10,000x means for a player

A max win is the most a single paid spin can return, as a multiple of your stake. Our slot max win explainer calls it “a cap, not a target”. The announced numbers show why.

Thunder Reckoning: the top prize needs all 30 positions

The prize ladder runs from 0.25x–1x for a single position up to 1,000x–5,000x for a fully charged 5×6 grid. In between, 3×3 blocks pay 20x–200x and 5×5 blocks pay 200x–1,000x. That’s a 20,000-fold gap between the smallest and biggest prize. To get 5,000x, every one of the 30 positions has to be fully charged in the same round. Most rounds end with a few small blocks.

Grimms’ Bounty: one top prize only gets you halfway

On the announced figures, the biggest single prize (500x) under the biggest collector (x10) is 5,000x. That is half the 10,000x cap. This is our reading of the published numbers, not a PG Soft statement. To get near 10,000x, several top pieces have to line up, most likely in free spins, where multipliers build up.

Where these caps sit in our data

In our directory of 494 Hotdog Gaming slots, the median max win is 5,000x and 22.1% advertise 10,000x or more. Across 399 slots in our RTP vs volatility study, median max win rises with volatility, from 813x at level 1 to 7,500x at level 4. No level-1 slot reaches 10,000x. RTP barely moves with volatility (correlation −0.05). Volatility changes how the money is paid out, not how much.

Higher caps cluster at higher volatility in our data. PG Soft hasn’t published volatility for either game. Chart by HotStakes.

So a 10,000x cap usually comes with bigger swings, even before PG Soft publishes a rating. Four checks before you try either game:

  1. Open the in-game info or paytable and read the RTP the casino is actually running.
  2. Look for a volatility rating. If there isn’t one, assume a high cap means long dry spells.
  3. Price a feature buy as a share of your session budget, not as a shortcut to the max win.
  4. Try the free demo first, so you see the hit rate before you stake money on it.

Takeaway: 5,000x is a typical cap and 10,000x is in the top fifth of our data. Neither tells you how often a decent win lands.

Takeaway: a demo shows you a game’s rhythm for free. Compare Witch’s Pact (322x) with Monster Hunt Wilds (8,550x) to feel how the cap changes the pace.

RTP is a long-run average, not what you’ll get tonight. Set a time and money limit before you play. Here is how RTP and volatility work together.

FAQ

What are PG Soft’s newest slots in October 2026?

Two confirmed titles: Grimms’ Bounty: Princess & the Frog, covered by trade press on 8–9 October 2026, and Thunder Reckoning, covered on 20 October 2026. Both reports say PG Soft released the games.

What is the RTP of Thunder Reckoning?

It isn’t in PG Soft’s announcement as published by EEGaming and Hipther. Check the in-game info screen at the casino, because operators can run different RTP versions.

What is the max win in Grimms’ Bounty: Princess & the Frog?

10,000x the bet, according to Hipther and iGamist. Prize symbols pay 0.5x–500x and collectors multiply by up to x10.

Is Azteca Legacy a new PG Soft slot?

We couldn’t confirm it. No PG Soft announcement or trade report we found on 31 Oct 2026 lists it, so we haven’t given any specs for it.

Does a higher max win mean a better slot?

No. In our 399-slot data, RTP is almost unrelated to volatility. A bigger cap usually means the return is packed into rarer, bigger wins.
