Is AW8 legit?

What we checked (31 Oct 2026). AW8 is one of the most searched casino brands in Malaysia and HotStakes lists it. We checked the domain our Malaysia listing opens, www.aw8myplay2.com: the licence seal, the Curaçao regulator’s register and PAGCOR’s public notices, the public lobby, complaint sites, the published terms, the domain record and the payment methods shown.

What we found. The footer shows a “Gaming Curaçao” seal, but it is a plain picture: it does not open a validator, there is no licence number, and no company is named anywhere on the site or in the terms. The Curaçao Gaming Authority’s register lists companies, not brands, so with no company name there is nothing we can look up. PAGCOR’s “reported websites” notice lists aw8.com among sites that use the PAGCOR logo without permission. Game buttons all lead to the login page, so we could not inspect the game frames. Players on Trustpilot report accounts blocked for “suspicious betting” with winnings held, while others say withdrawals worked. The terms give the operator wide powers: funds are not released until the whole deposit is played through, fees can be charged to the account, and balances can be forfeited on any breach.

What readers should do. Score 34/100: avoid until AW8 publishes a licence number and company name that can be checked on the regulator’s register. If you already play there, keep your balance small, read clause 10 before you deposit, and finish verification early. AW8 is welcome to reply with its licence details; we will add any reply here and re-check the same day.

Right of reply. The operator is welcome to reply through hotstakes.io/list-your-brand/ with a licence number and company name that can be checked on a regulator’s register; we will add any reply here, re-check fairly and fix proven mistakes the same day.
